Health Economics & Financing
CHEPS UI has conducted numerous research projects related to health economics & financing in collaboration with governmental ministries, institutions, development partners, and others, referring to the mechanisms, strategies, and resources employed to finance and maintain healthcare services. It encompasses the generation, pooling, and allocation of financial resources to ensure the provision of accessible, affordable, and high-quality health services. Health economics & financing comprises various elements, including government budgets, health insurance schemes, out-of-pocket payments, donor funding, and other revenue streams contributing to the sustainability of healthcare systems. The efficient and equitable management of health economics & financing plays a crucial role in advancing universal health coverage, addressing health disparities, and enhancing overall health outcomes across a population.
