Taufik Hidayat, SE, MSE

Taufik Hidayat is a senior health economist who experienced in applied econometrics and health and public policy, poverty and household economic analysis. He is currently pursuing a Ph.D. in Economics at the University of Sussex Business School, with a strong focus on economic modeling. His research expertise is particularly centered on the following projects: Impact Evaluation of the 2014 National Health Insurance Program (Jaminan Kesehatan Nasional-JKN); Determinants of Labor Mobility Costs in Indonesia; Social Security Reform and Economic Modeling Capacity Building; etc. He has demonstrated a keen understanding of the Indonesian socio-economic landscape, with a particular emphasis on social insurance and labor economics. He usually acting as a consultant who work closely and collaboratively with MoF, Ministry of Manpower and BP Jamsostek, BPJS Kesehatan TNP2K, and another stakeholder. He is also experienced in various consultancies supported by USAID, World Bank and other donors. Taufik’s extensive experience in policy development, particularly in economy and employment social security, is complemented by his ability to implement research, collect inputs for report writing, and develop strong recommendations
